In America’s Future’s special exposé, “Where Did the Children Go,” Tara Lee Rodas, Mayra Moreno, Deborah White, and Carlos Arellano reveal disturbing firsthand accounts from inside the federal government’s Unaccompanied Children Program.

Their testimony alleges that children were released to unknown and unvetted sponsors, traffickers infiltrated intake operations, taxpayer dollars flowed through failed government contracts, and officials used threats and shame tactics to silence those who tried to speak out.

If we cannot protect the most innocent and vulnerable within our nation, then we have failed in one of our most fundamental responsibilities as a society.

Congress must investigate these allegations fully. Every dollar must be accounted for. Every responsible official and contractor must answer under oath. Most importantly, every missing child must be found.
