WHO DARES WINS.
Don’t be afraid, be competent (and constantly learn). On this Memorial Day weekend, I want to share a story of a brotherhood that exists, is important to me, and is under attack because of a “progressive” regime along with their forces in the far left media.
Standing up for the harder right in the face of relentless attacks is never easy but it is the right thing to do.
America, as well as our closest allies (and US and British Special Forces are the closest of allies) face unrelenting internal foes who seek to deceive the very people they’re suppose to inform.
As we Americans prepare to remember and honor those that we lost in battle fighting for our freedoms, let us also remember those friends and warriors that served and fought bravely alongside us, faithfully and with great distinction. Notably the British SAS in Iraq and Afghanistan (and elsewhere in the war against brutal and inhumane terrorists).
These men helped America defeat the Al Qaeda network in hostile frontiers but today suffer even greater hostile attacks by the British left wing media back home (a harsh media not unlike our own here in America, who care less about the lives and capabilities they destroy and more about destroying lives and our current way of life—yes, the times are a changing).
For instance, I recall a night raid in Iraq led by elements of the British SAS where Senior leaders of AQI were holed up with women and children in a home (their normal MO). The SAS raiding party took heavy losses and numerous casualties engaged in this vicious close in fight to capture these enemy leaders. There is much more SAS bravery to describe this battle, but the outcome was successful, the SAS men protected all those who were placed in harms way by the animals of AQI and the enemy was neutralized and senior leaders captured. A normal night for the men of the SAS (and other elite special forces fighting in IRAQ during those critical years of combat—2005-2007).
I know this story and many others that will forever remain untold all too well, I headed up the intelligence enterprise at the time. It was a brutal but necessary time to change the tide of a losing war (politicians decide, soldiers fight and die).
Anyway, if you want to learn more about how the tide changes for better or worse, PLEASE take time to read this relatively short but sharp article by a close friend and former battlefield (and SAS) commander, who I was honored to serve along side of.
WHO DARES WINS.
