They want assurance that their nation is governed with purpose and foresight.

President Trump would serve the country well by stepping away from the daily turbulence of Washington and gathering trusted advisors, along with independent voices of experience, at Camp David for an honest examination of recent events and the course ahead.

Abrupt personnel changes without a settled strategy risk compounding uncertainty. What is needed is a comprehensive review of our national priorities and strategic direction, including a clear and coherent policy toward Iran.

Especially a stupid and unnecessary war.

To what end do we continue to prosecute this war in the Middle East?

The WH seeks a budget increase of over a trillion dollars while Americans struggle to pay for housing and gas. This war against Iran seems to be treated as the only priority that matters. It was clearly on the minds of millions of Americans who recently and resoundingly voted against it.

Continuing down this path is a huge strategic error. It matches the decision the Bush administration made to invade Iraq. That was the greatest strategic error of this century. An expanded war in Iran would be the next one.

From everything I’ve seen, we’ve achieved our objectives in Iran. Moving forward is not a reflection of strength. It is the same reckless foreign policy that has already cost this country trillions while ordinary Americans pay the price at home.
