While we wait, China sends ambassadors carrying checkbooks and Beijing's instructions. Russia sends operators who have studied us for decades.

We send a chargé. The equivalent of a colonel in a meeting that demands a general, and then we wonder why the room treats us like a colonel.

The Senate hasn't confirmed a Trump Nominee for Ambassador since December 2025.
